JPHES worked with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc (GMCR) to open a new 330,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Isle of Wight County, VA. The facility was a build-out of an existing facility and will roast, grind, flavor and package coffee for its single-serve Keurig Brewing Machines (K-cups). The facility required in-depth coordination with the manufacturer’s equipment for utility connections such as water, power, compressed air, nitrogen, etc. The facility also required tight environmental control between various spaces such as the roasting area, tasting lab, storage, office, etc. Additionally, the project implemented multiple phases of design drawings to ensure the project was funded appropriately and that the plant would be brought online as quickly as possible.
