Flowing With the Tides

August 28, 2008; the weather’s cool, the rain is light and the JPHarvey crew is enjoying a good ole night out at the ballpark with the Norfolk Tides.

After spending some time getting to know everyone and their families with pizza and snacks at the office, everyone headed over to the field to sit together near right field behind first base, giving everyone a great view as the Norfolk Tides faced off against the Durham Bulls.

The Tides lost the game 11-9, but that didn’t stop everyone from having a good time. Between everyone sharing umbrellas for the few brief moments of rain to the dancing to the music and cheering for the teams, it was a great way to spend a Thursday night before everyone headed back to work Friday morning.

On March 13, 2008 the JP Harvey crew went from fast to furious at American Indoor Karting. After fueling up on pizza and going through training, the group mounted their vehicles and were off on the track!

Our very own PDQ (Quinn Tucker) won both sets of races with the fastest lap time. JPH (Joe Harvey) and Slim (Mike Taylor) were mere seconds behind. Despite the fierce competition, the entire team had fun and compared the improved scores from race to race.

Walls – Father and Son

Father and Son, Jim and Tony Walls together at JPH.

James A. Walls, “Tony,” has joined the firm in the electrical department and is in charge of production. Tony has twenty plus years of experience designing electrical systems. Currently he is working on several projects at the following bases: Norfolk Naval, Little Creek, Oceana, Ft. Lee and Langley.

James R. Walls, P.E., has joined the firm. Jim is the professional in charge of electrical design and multi-discipline quality control. Offering over 40 years of experience, Jim is an accomplished engineer who is currently overseeing various projects in VA, NC, and TN. He is also supporting the firm’s efforts in Europe.
